Mrs. Roach

I started teaching at Lostant Grade School in 1994. It is a wonderful school with outstanding students! I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Culver-Stockton College in 1993 with Areas of Concentration in Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math. I received a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University in 1999. I earned my Learning Behavior Specialist I certification in June 2018. I received the Educator of the Year Award in 2007 and 2017. I'm 1st and 2nd grade Homeroom Teacher.

This year I'll be teaching 7th and 8th grade Math, 7th grade Social Studies, 8th grade Social Studies, 1st and 2nd grade Math, K-2 RTI, and Special Education Reading.

I reside in Hennepin with my husband, William, and my children Ian and Molly. Ian will be a junior at Northern Illinois University, and Molly will be a freshman at IVCC. I have two cats, a parrot, and a horse. In my spare time, I like walking, working out on my elliptical, feeding and being entertained by the hummingbirds in my yard, and sitting on my porch enjoying the quiet with my family.
