Spelling Bee

Congratulations to 6th grader Jaden Busch for winning the LGS Spelling Bee. Jaden prevailed after 16 rounds of grueling words against  15 other competitors. Congratulations also goes out to 8th grader Salina Breckenridge for placing second. Jaden will now advance to the LaSalle County Spelling Bee which will be held at Ottawa High School on Saturday, February 8 . Great job Jaden, Salina and all of the participants!

Christmas Around the World: 3rd Grade Social Studies

he third grade social studies class completed research on various countries around the world and their practices for Christmas. Germany, Canada, and the British Islands were the three countries picked. Each student had to learn how to say Christmas in the language of the country, find three traditions, a recipe, the climate/environment of their country. The students were proud of their research.
