MARCH Curriculum

Homeroom -8th Grade- Thinking about all the fun ahead: Field trip, T-shirts, presentation for graduation.

First and Second Hour- 5th Mathematics-

We will then continue to work our way into the MOVING WITH MATH Curriculum and  Common Core Math Standards. Our first unit of study for both Purple book and Green book- “ Number, Reasoning and Data”

** Please note the children are giving IXL with every unit of study in math. These assignments can be accessed at home. Children are expected to complete 100% to show they have met the required standards in each area.

Chapter 4- Life Processes*** we have finished this unit.

Chapter 6- Earth’s Surface and Interior

Chapter 7- Sun, Moon, and Planets

Chapter 8- Earth’s Water A Divided Nation

Chapter 9- Earth’s Weather

Chapter 10- Properties of matter

We will be using the Lucy Calkins Writing Pathways. This includes a study in Narrative, Informative, and Opinion Writing. We started with Narrative, worked our way through Informative.

8th 9th 10th hours Kindergarten First and second grade Science/ Social Studies and Computers

We are working through McGraw –Hill Science and McGraw Hill My World Adventures in Time and Place. We will also be using Scholastic News to enhance our Curriculum. We are completing projects along the way!

 We have been reading about Spring and St. Patrick’s day traditions and are hoping to be visited by an Irish Tradition on St. Patrick’s day!

8th 9th 10th hours Kindergarten First and second grade Science/ Social Studies and Computers

We are working through McGraw –Hill Science and McGraw Hill My World Adventures in Time and Place. We will also be using Scholastic News to enhance our Curriculum. We are completing projects along the way!

 We have been reading about Spring and St. Patrick’s day traditions and are hoping to be visited by an Irish Tradition on St. Patrick’s day!

8th 9th 10th hours Kindergarten First and second grade Science/ Social Studies and Computers

We are working through McGraw –Hill Science and McGraw Hill My World Adventures in Time and Place. We will also be using Scholastic News to enhance our Curriculum. We are completing projects along the way!

 We have been reading about Spring and St. Patrick’s day traditions and are hoping to be visited by an Irish Tradition on St. Patrick’s day!

We are working through McGraw –Hill Science and McGraw Hill My World Adventures in Time and Place. We will also be using Scholastic News to enhance our Curriculum. We are completing projects along the way!

 We have been reading about Spring and St. Patrick’s day traditions and are hoping to be visited by an Irish Tradition on St. Patrick’s day!
