Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Winter Fine Arts Program is tomorrow night. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. The doors will open at 5:45 p.m. The K-8 students are to report to their homerooms when they arrive at the school. All guests are asked to please wear masks in the school building during the program and social distance as much as possible.
DISTRICT ASSESSMENTS
The week of December 13th, the following district assessments will take place in the mornings:
Monday, Dec. 13th – MAP testing MATH
Tuesday, Dec. 14th – MAP testing ELA
Wednesday, Dec. 15th – Aimsweb Reading
Thursday, Dec. 16th – Aimsweb Math
Friday, Dec. 17th – District Assessments Make-up Day
HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK: December 13th through December 17th
Monday, Dec. 13th: Ugly Sweater/Holiday Gear, etc.
Tuesday, Dec. 14th: Grinch Day
Wednesday, Dec. 15th: Wear your favorite holiday shirt
Thursday, Dec. 16th: Pajama Day
(Please bring your sleeping bag and water bottle for the viewing of Polar Express)
Friday, Dec. 17th: Red and Green Day
On Friday, December 17th, we will have an Early Out at 11:45 a.m./Teacher Institute in the afternoon. Winter Break is from December 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022. School will resume Monday, January 3, 2022.
LUNCH RECESS/DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Please encourage your child to bring a jacket, gloves/mittens, hats, scarfs, etc. for outside lunch recess. On days where there is snow, students must have snow pants and boots to play in the snow. We will NOT be going outside on days that the wind chill factor is 20 degrees or lower.
ILLNESS
If your child is sick, please keep your child at home. Please call the school (815-368-3392) by 9:30 a.m. to report an absence.
